U.S. Military Medals

WW II Named Navy Good Conduct Medal with a slot brooch. Stamped engraved to MARCUS / S / NOACK / 1946. I have some information from the U.S. Navy muster rolls, which indicates he was a HA1c and that he served on several different ships. The U.S. Marine Corps muster rolls indicate that he was attached as HA1c with them from Oct.1946 to April 1947. The silver I.D. bracelet is engraved with name and service number. Bracelet is marked "SILVER / MEXICO". Copied internet research is included to help in further research.  $60

WW II U.S. Navy Good Conduct Medal bar group to Martin John Klee, Jr.  An AMM (Aviation Machinist’s Mate) and AMMP (Aviation Machinist’s Mate - Propeller Mechanic). Comes with complete NPRC service record.  $75

Revised and expanded edition: U.S. Navy - Marine Corps - Coast Guard Silver Star Awards for WW II, by George N. Wilhelmsen has now been updated. An additional 452 new names have been added to this new 2nd edition. This book lists the recipient's name and includes dates and actions for which the Silver Star was awarded. 2004. 8 1/2" X 11". 126 pgs. soft back.  $15

WW II Legion of Merit with slot brooch awarded to George T. Littlefield (not named).  He is listed in the official register of “Reserve and National Guard on Active Duty” dated July 31, 1941, as a 1st Lt. in the Corps of Engineers at the New Orleans Army Sup. Base.  A 3 X 5 index card found inside the presentation case, which has slightly turned brown from age, is named to him as a “Major Geroge T. Littlefield”.  George is spelled wrong.  On the other side of the card it states “CITATION AND GENERAL ORDER WILL BE PRESENTED OR FORWARDED TO RECIPIENT AS CIRCUMSTANCES DICTATE, AND WILL NOT BE FOLDED UNDER ANY CONDITIONS”.  The Legion of Merit comes in the black presentation case with ribbon bar, and an extra piece of ribbon.  The only information I have on Major Littlefield is his service number, hometown, dates of birth and death, and SSN to use for further research. The Legion of Merit is in very nice condition; white paper label residue on the case lid can probably be removed.   $125

Legion of Merit and Bronze Star Medal group named to Philip J. Moore III. U.S. Military Academy class of 1940. WW II and post-WW II service (was present at Pearl Harbor).  Comes with some research.  The only medal that is engraved is the Legion of Merit.  $180

WW II and Post-War Navy Distinguished Flying Cross/Air Medal group to Cdr. Robert L. V. Dennis.  Started his career as a NAP (enlisted pilot) and retired as a Commander.  He also flew in the Berlin Airlift (Operation Vittles).  Comes with some NARA research and copies of medal citations.  The medal group is nicely bar mounted for wear.  The Air Force Commendation Medal is named.  The Navy Good Conduct Medal is not engraved.  $800

WW II U.S. Navy Distinguished Flying Cross with a slot brooch; pendant is the two-piece construction with frosted finish. $75

WW II Air Medal with slot brooch - not named, but attributed to Army Captain Stevenson (Artillery and Headquarters Officer), who was attached to the field artillery of the 40th Infantry Division. The Air Medal was awarded for eight flights over enemy held ground near Luzon, Panay, and Negros, P. I. The medal comes in the black presentation case with lapel pin. An original press release, on tissue-type paper, from the 40th Infantry Division detailing the award of the Air Medal was found folded inside the medal case. Nice original WW II 40th Infantry Division patch is included. Research includes photocopies from several U.S. Army Registers of Officers, and internet research. The U.S. Army Registers of Officers indicate that he was entitled to only one Air Medal and a Commendation Ribbon. $90

WW I to early WW II numbered (#2604) Army Distinguished Service Medal. The DSM is the version with the larger number size. The split wrap brooch is missing, but the ribbon drape is correct. $300

Navy Cross with a crimp brooch maker marked "G-23".  $50
